WDET Asks David Rubinstein, CPA
You may have been hearing some announements with WDET member and CPA David Rubinstein answering questions about supporting Detroit Public Radio as 2008 comes to a close. As a CPA, David loves to talk about the tax advantages, like the Michigan Tax Credit, and why making a gift to WDET before December 31 is a good idea. As a WDET listener, you know there are many good reasons to support WDET throughout the year! During this special season of giving, please consider making a gift to your public radio station.
In 2008, you tuned into WDET for extensive, in-depth NPR news coverage of the historic national election and all the local election news. WDET carried news, analysis and perspective of the Detroit mayoral scandal, and WDET continues to cover the important stories and issues surrounding the ailing Detroit automakers. You also heard incredible local music programming like Destination Jazz: The Ed Love Program, Folks Like Us with Matt Watroba, The Arkansas Traveler with Larry McDaniel and more. WDET also introduced its new HD all music service, "The Avenue" in 2008. When you make a gift to WDET, it supports everything you hear on Detroit Public Radio!
Making a gift to WDET before December 31 also may qualify you to take advantage of the Michigan Tax Credit. WDET - Detroit Public Radio is a public charity, and all donations qualify for the maximum available deduction for charitable contributions. In addition to federal deductions, your gift qualifies for the Michigan Tax Credit, which can be up to half your contribution – up to a maximum of $200 for single filers and $400 for joint filers.
Make your gift to Detroit Public Radio today!
